Matthew Duckworth is a video producer, editor and director with over 25 years of experience in both the creative and technical aspects of production.  He is currently the Multimedia Production Manager at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he is responsible for producing video projects for the needs of the school.

 

He also works as a freelance video producer and editor, and has worked with a variety of clients as well as producing his own projects.  His YouTube series titled “I’ll Show You” shows you in simple ways how to do things.  He is a judge and masterclass teacher for the Doko Film Fest, a film festival for high school filmmakers. He co-taught a weekend Dishonesty Film-a-thon with best selling author Dan Ariely and Oscar winner Yael Melamede. “Embedded and Connected”

Directed, produced, filmed and edited a twelve minute video about Duke University’s Executive MBA programs.  Included location shooting in China, India, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.


“Becoming Beloved Community”

Produced, filmed and edited a documentary focusing on racial reconciliation and Salisbury, NC during the time of Jim Crow laws.


Arts Academy

Produced, filmed and edited a promotional video for the Arts Academy at Grace, which serves the Lexington, NC community by providing affordable courses, and celebrating artistic expression.


Tim Cook visits Duke University's Fuqua School of Business

Managed the multi-camera production of two Distinguished Speaker events at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business that featured conversations between Apple CEO Tim Cook and Bill Boulding, the Dean of the Fuqua School of Business.  Edited the published videos. 


“Predictably Irrational” and “The Upside of Irrationality”

Directed, co-produced, filmed and edited a series of videos highlighting each chapter of Dan Ariely’s books “Predictably Irrational” and “The Upside of Irrationality.”  The video below, "I'll Stop Procrastinating... Tomorrow.", is one of the twelve videos from "Predictably Irrational."


“The Beginning”

Produced, directed, filmed and edited an 11 minute video that tells the story of the founding of Duke University's graduate school of business.  Included location shooting in Fresno, California. 


“Leading in Times of Uncertainty”

Produced, wrote, directed, filmed and edited a 30 second commercial promoting the Fuqua/Coach K Conference on Leadership at Duke University.  The commercial featured Duke men’s basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski.  It was distributed via CNN Airport TV and the conference's website.


Rapid Results Fitness

Directed, filmed and edited a promotional video for kettlebell workouts that feature Rapid Results Fitness, a kettlebell training studio.  The video features highlights from five interviews of people whose health and well-being have been changed by this type of exercise. 


EduPresence

Produced, directed, filmed and edited a series of informational interview videos for Edupresence, an educational consulting company.  The project also included a two hour conversational video shot with multiple cameras that captured the thoughts of the co-founders.  The video below is one of the single-person interview videos. 


CAM Raleigh

Produced, directed, filmed and edited a fund-raising video for the Contemporary Art Museum in Raleigh, NC.  The video is used to bring awareness to CAM Raleigh's First Year Fund and has been played at fund-raising events.


The Endurance Edge

Filmed and edited a cooking “How To” video for The Endurance Edge, a company that empowers athletes to reach and sustain peak performance and health.
